Plenty of time for foot care

Just read this tweet from The Seattle Times:

The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Washington is doubling every 18 to 19 days, state health officials said Wednesday morning.

Nice. Well, since clearly going out and about is not an option, I can take care of my feet. I got another crack last night - this time where the big toe meets my foot so that every time my big toe moved, I got an owie.

Enough. This morning as soon as I got out of the shower, I coated my feet with Cerave body cream and then covered them with plastic bags. I left them that way for 30 minutes. Took the bags off and put on socks. I just did it all again (mid-afternoon). No more bare feet for me. Socks 24/7. But, damn, if they aren't feeling so much better already. No bandaids needed. I think a couple of days of this and they will be normal feet again. Maybe.

My feet are super dry, I hate that if I don't take care of them consistently they're just dry and yucky.

Next time, I'm putting in for auto care models. You know, like self cleaning ovens? Auto care feet.

Cracks between the toes can also be Athletes Foot. I had a case and thought it was eczema. It finally started to crawl up my foot and my son pointed out I had athletes foot! A few days of Desitan Spray and it disappeared.

Been there, done that, with the cracks in my feet years back when I did a lot of running and walking. It was painful and not fun. I can empathize!
