Trust me, this is not a camera problem. These look just as bad in person.

And they taste only marginally like my Mom's cookies.

And while they are not the best cookies I have ever had, they are pretty darned good. Half the batter is still in the fridge. Wonder how long it will stay good? I suspect quite a while.

There's lots of tweaking I can do and will. Oh and the egg painting... 1. turns out I gave all my brushes to Goodwill. I finally found one in the toolbox. It's a little small for the job. 2. purple food coloring in egg yolk comes out brown. 3. lime green turns dark green. Not that it matters. Plain old yolk works. I need to thin it out a bit, I think, with water.

I'm not unhappy with today's work.

I do need to rearrange the kitchen and create some Space For Baking Shit. I can't decide where is best. But, I do think a purge of some more shit is quite possible.

Not today. Maybe tomorrow.

Most I've read is to keep cookie dough in the fridge up to 3 days. You could always freeze it, either in a log for slice and bake or scoop into balls to easily bake a few at a time.

That's hilarious. They look like little pieces of toast with green butter. There has to be some sort of Dr. Seuss jingle somewhere to go with this. But hey, if they taste good then it's a win!

Who says cookies have to be perfect? They have one of my favorite colors on them…green. So for me they look yummy!

It doesn’t matter if the cookies don’t look right, as long as they’re tasty.

Is there such a thing as a bad cookie?
