Yesterday, Biggie was sniffing around the cookies so I moved them over to the stove top where he rarely ventures. Also, I could have sworn he never left the bed last night, but, this morning... on the floor outside the kitchen, I see he had helped himself to a cookie.

He didn't eat much or any of it but was apparently impressed enough to try and make off with one. High praise indeed.

And while I'm on cookies, these ginger babies passed all storage tests with flying colors. They lost zero crisp, flavor or texture overnight... not in the cookie jar, not in the zip lock bag and not the ones that Biggie didn't take on the plate. They are still amazing. I may try freezing a couple just to see what happens.

I've already been out and done errands today. I wanted to get to Costco early and I did. And it was lovely being there with the other old people. Then on to Amazon for yet another return. I also stopped at McDonalds for a sausage biscuit and then remembered I had sausage patties at home. I could make my ... better!

I actually think I'll make some biscuits today.

Nothing else really on the agenda. No baseball. I do need to descale the Keurig which is always a PIA but I can deal. I need to find a new book to listen to and a new TV series to get hooked on. I've been watching Netflix documentaries but they will run out sometime and not all are fabulous. Oh! there is a new Vera today...

I'm listening to The Liar's Girl by Catherine Ryan Howard. Sorry I can't recommend it back at you. ;)

I've been getting really into watching the cooking shows on Netflix, they're just as good as the ones on food network and I don't have to look at a bunch of dumb commercials.

You're making me want to try chocolate gingersnaps, the best cookies evar. I haven't made them for years. I like your scientific approach to storage.

Unlike Biggie, the dogs will devour anything they think is edible, including grasshoppers. And I don't mean the green ice cream cocktail.

I have finally decided, after recent repeated descalings and primings, to put my Keurig out of its misery. RIP 2014-2021

Fortunately I have a Chulux (https://www.amazon.com/CHULUX-Single-Coffee-Capsule-Reservoir/dp/B010NMMPH0/ref=asc_df_B010NMMPH0/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167147331067&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6642219950684741570&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007309&hvtargid=pla-304063311827&psc=1) on hand, and I'll hold off on buying a new Keurig until Santa decides whether I should get a new one for Christmas.

I know, I learned that only very recently! I don't know for certain why it lasted so long but I'm thinking light usage (until pandemic) plus always using filtered water helped. I certainly didn't perform routine maintenance or change the filter that is in the water reservoir. Or dumb luck, lol.
