Fall... as in Autumn

Today is the first day that it's chilly enough for long sleeves. They feel so nice. And I celebrated with a winter lunch. Stuffed baked potato. Delish.

I'm watching the Mariners game on mute without even the radio on. All commentators are annoying me these days. So silence it is. kensmind'a favorite player just tied the game up for us.

Biggie now rejects pillpockets and cheese. But, he's gotten so he hops up onto the counter and waits for me to push the pill down his throat. Easy peasy. And this morning at one point, he came in from bird hunting, went over and got the feather on a stick and brought it to me to pay with. We played fake bird for quite a while and then he went back to real birds. Such a weird cat.

BUT not as weird as this one... From a condo email this morning:

"Ella, from Florentine Unit 222, is a 2-year old white house cat that ventured out on the balcony ledge of Unit 222 to another unit sometime between 10:00PM-12:00 midnight last night, September 14. She has not yet returned to Unit 222."

I did not share that info with Biggie. No sense in giving him ideas.

YES! Actually on the 2nd floor there is a decorative edge that spans all units. It BEGS cats to unit visit. Some people have put up plexiglass between units, but apparently 222 didn't get that memo.

My question is how does Ella’s owner know for sure she actually jumped over to another units balcony? If that were the case, wouldn’t said owner have knocked on said unit’s door to retrieve said cat? It’s conceivable (I hope not!) the cat could have fallen, and was mobile enough to wander off after falling? I sincerely hope all ends well for Ella.

I hope Ella didn’t jump. I’m guessing from the number that she lives on the second floor, which wouldn’t be an impossible height for a cat to tackle.

kensmind's favorite player just tied the game up for us

The whole tone of that game changed significantly in the 10th inning. I'm not complaining (and I'm glad this wasn't yet another night game).

I'm sorry if we more or less killed the Mariners' playoff hopes, but not sorry enough to wish it had been them instead of us.

(First time the Sox have won a series in Seattle since 2013, remarkably enough.)

honestly i don't think either team deserved to win that game but clearly we did not and yeah, i'm thinking october is calendar wide open again.
