Win Win Lose
Sep. 25th, 2021 03:12 pmI walked over to the Japanese grocery and back. It was too hot and took too much breath but I heart the steps on my watch.
Then I washed two loads of clothes - but loads and put them all away.
Then I made cookies which were not at all interesting or delicious. It was a recipe for swedish tea cookies - two simple cookies coated with sugar and then stacked with a butter cream filling. I'm not sure I did anything wrong. They just weren't worth the effort.

It might be time to do some more ginger cookies.
Oh and I also watch the first episode of the latest Great British Bake Off. I might have to go back and rewatch all the other 9 seasons now that I'm looking for different information.
But not today. I'm going to watch junk TV til game time.

Like when they breathlessly declaim that just one minute in the oven will make the difference between something being underdone or burnt. Most of the time that's complete rubbish. Or when they talk about breadmaking like it's splitting the atom when it's actually really easy. I worry that this kind of stuff actually intimidates people away from baking.
