Sleep Gymnastics Injury??

About 4 am I woke up because my right foot really hurt. Like I had dropped an anvil on it. I finally got back to sleep but when I got up a couple of hours later to pee, it REALLY hurt to move it.

When I went to sleep it was fine. There is no sign of any injury. But it hurts like a sonofabitch. I just took some tylenol and that helps. It does not hurt now until I move it or walk. Weirdest thing ever. Now I wish I had a web cam in the bedroom. I'd love to see what happened.

No treadmill today and no parking lot walk either. Just weird.

Biggie finally landed a bird today. It's been a long long time since he caught one. The head was missing by the time I got it bagged. Ugh. That person from England who used to post anonymous hate comments about how horribly I treat Biggie would have had a field day. (Actually, they may still be around. I filter out their comments now so if they are still spewing venom, I don't have to see it.) Once I got the rest of it bagged and the feathers vacuumed, Biggie went right back out to catch more. Those leaves are not dropping off that tree fast enough.

This afternoon there will be baseball. Last night we got disseminated. We play the same team today. I hope the Mariners feel better than my foot.

I was going to do some other stuff but now I think I'll just sit in my chair and hope that an a day of rest will heal my foot. I wonder if ice would help?

Have you looked at your foot to see if there are any red blotches or streaking? I know I may come across like mother hen here, but I can't help myself. I work in the medical field, so it's built in. Haha

Speaking of the Mariners, while my mind was refusing to let me go back to sleep this morning I figured out some unlikely scenarios whereby either (1) the Mariners and the A's squeaked past all the AL East contenders for the two wildcard spots or (2) there would be a 5-way tie. But I hadn't realized that the Mariners and the A's play another series against each other, which blows both scenarios out of the water.

yeah. we've now maneuvered ourselves into a situation where our run for the post season will end tragically. we've proven we can beat oakland so if they whip us — so sad. Or we'll be beaten by Shohei. Sigh.

Argh. Sounds a lot like some of my gout flares. Ibuprofen and plenty of water can't hurt, in case that's it. Good luck!

Ah, the gifts our little feline masters and mistresses bring us... 😂 My ears have been trained over the years to immediately recognise the sounds from the garden when one of mine has struck gold, and I have many a time almost broke my neck racing through the house to slam doors and windows shut before they can bring the presents inside. 😁 I don't always win, which ends up in a very much still alive bird flying all over and the kids going bonkers in pursuit!
