Another recovery milestone

Biggie pooped! Watery but poop for sure. Also he made his poop meow. He's only eaten very watery food so stands to reason.

I carried him back to the litter box and stayed there and together we figured out the best configuration for his thunder stick paws. (Actual litter box outside of its usual cupboard. It's an easy place to leave it for a while.) He's now able to get in and out on his own.

I tried feeding him some tuna pate and he was not interested. He's not a seafood guy. Just about that time the mail carrier brought my Amazon order of chicken pate (Fancy Feast pate). I mixed half of one up with water and he licked the bowl clean. Take that, tuna!

Over all I'm encouraged. Still watching with an eagle eye but encouraged.

My QFC hasn't figured that out yet. The Fancy Feast chicken pate is always sold out, but nobody touches the seafood flavors, yet they insist on keeping all of those flavors stocked and taking their sweet time restocking the CHICKEN!! That's what the kitties want.

I used Biggie to taunt my cat just now. I put her food on its spot on the clothes dryer and she looked at me like it would be such a chore to have to jump up there to eat it. I told her... as I gave in and carried her up to her food... that some kitties will jump off of fourth story balconies, and you wont even jump up onto the dryer. That means Biggie is officially in kitty infamy.

This is actually an industry wide issue! There's a serious chicken shortage in pet foods. I've been fighting the good fight with it for months — it struck prescription foods, regular foods, everything chicken based. My cat cannot have any other protein due to medical uck fuppery so it's been a whole drama. Everywhere WANTS to stock it there's just not enough for anywhere to either actually get it or keep much in stock :-/

oh great. now you and meowmensteen have turned me into a hoarder. i just placed a backup/safety order for more chicken pate. now i'm part of the problem!

Just remember, turkey wont do. My cat wont eat turkey. Only chicken. What they really need to do is make a song bird Fancy Feast. Cats would be all over that.

Oh right. Biggie won't even consider turkey. I know better than to even try that. But, we now have a bright future in Fancy Feast Petite chicken pate. Unless he changes his mind. If he does, maybe I can sell the surplus on the black Fancy Feast chicken market... meet me at the corner, bring cash.
