three little cakes are we

3 little spice cakes with my Cool Whip based icing. I found a baggie with 2 other baggies of dry cake ingredients and minimal instructions written by me. I did not know if the wet portions were for both baggies or just one so I was clueless how this would turn out. (Turns out it was for just one so now I have another 3 cake embryos for future.)

I like the size. A lot. I used giant muffin cups.

I did go to the grocery and then was planning on going to Trader Joes but decided to go across the street and get catfish and hushpuppies for lunch. It's the re-invention of a place that used to be and it opened not long ago. They don't have okra which is sinful. The hushpuppies were perfect. The catfish was dried out. But, now I've tried it and I know.

Biggie has now licked a hole in his bandage. So I had to put a new one on top. That stretch kind. He did not approve and bit me. Not hard but it was a clear message that I needed to quit fucking with his bandages. And it was completely and totally different than the way he used to bite me pre-flying. I wish I could figure out how to describe the two different bites. Before it was like he'd bite and then back off and wait for me to bite him back. Like he wanted a brawl. Not like he wanted me to stop doing something. Weird.

I put one of the web cams aimed at his water so I could make sure he was getting enough to drink. Turns out it also monitors his bird watching.



He looked for the cat door last night. The door was open a crack and the screen door was closed. He spent some time trying to noodle out the situation and then abandoned the project. I've only seen him lunge for a bird that one time a couple of weeks ago. He watches but is so far just taking notes.

That looks delicious great job....In a shor while I am doing pumpkin cheesecake squares...i am nervous because this is my first time attempting it.
