So Busy!!

Biggie has been busy all day. Busier than he has been since his flyby. He's been in and out of his bubble bed. Napping and bird watching and eating and eating. Prior to today, he's been sleeping and eating and maybe a little bird watching but mostly sleeping and eating.

Today is different.



I did go out. The Safeway next to trader joe's had far more empty shelf space than cat food. It was almost creepy. And, most all of the non-seafood was gone. So on to a pet food store in the same block. It's not my favorite one but another local chain that's mainly dogs but a little bit of cat stuff. I picked up a selection of chicken stuff.

And then on to Trader Joe's where I only got what I went for and spent less than $20!

At home, I opened up a can of Tiki Cat chicken and oh yeah, it was a hit.

I have his food on a little table. His bandages make it hard for him to lean down to the floor to eat. His latest trick is, when he's ready for more food, he just sits on the floor next to his table until I notice. If he's REALLY ready, he sits there and meows. It cracks me up. Anyway, I gave him about a 3rd of this can and he cleaned his plate and sat there waiting for more. So I gave him another 3rd and he cleaned that one up, too. So. maybe we have a winner already.

I saw that at our Safeway, and DS told me he's had to go to a different pet food store, as the one near his apartment hasn't been stocking Melodie's preferred wet food in quite a while. (Did you wind up at Mud Bay?)

You got out of TJ's for less than $20? I salute you!

Oh good to know about Safeway. I thought, at the time, that it was because this Safeway is closing but turns out (researched after I got home) the closing is delayed indefinitely.

Mud Bay is my favorite but there wasn't one close so I went to All The Best which is only all the best for dogs. For cats it's an 'oh yeah, those things' one shelf in the back.

If it weren't "power lines into trees" weather over here, I'd run up to the Poulsbo Safeway and see if they're as bad.

Pet Pros is in the next block over for DS; to get to Mud Bay means taking Rupert the Mini out, and he prefers to do that when he has a bunch of stops to make.
