At the bottom of the bottom drawer. But, I found em! I did some culling and rearranging and I feel better about it all now.

I have a friend in New Zealand who sends me a beautiful photo calendar from there every year and has done that for about 25 years now. It's such an amazing treat every single year. Yesterday I got 2022. And, I'm reminded once again that New Zealand has an incredible number of holidays. Some years the calendars only include the most important ones. But, this one, in 2022, has something nearly every day including when school starts and some notations that I can't even translate. It's going to be a fun year.

Finally enough leaves have blown off that I was able to see that there is someone who lives in the unit directly across the way. He doesn't have much stuff so I couldn't tell if it was vacant or occupied. But I saw him last night. Then today, I see that his next door neighbor has put up a Christmas tree!!

You have to zoom in really to see it but it's there, just left of the Black Lives Matter flag. I wonder if they lived there last year. The folks who did had an inflatable snowman that was quite cheery. I can't wait for dark so I can see the tree lights.

Biggie finally remembered he has his own recliner.

And... he can see the birds from it. AND... they were killing him today. A dozen of them on the railing teasing him. Weird angle and hard to see but also hard to get Biggie and the birds in one shot.

The ham I got at Costco is wonderful. I had a thick slab for dinner, shavings in my eggs for breakfast and just finished a perfectly delicious ham sandwich. I do love ham and it's not as ubiquitous around here as it is in the south. The hunk I got is just the perfect size for me.

You might drive the pesky birds away with something smelly that offends them. Many things that repel birds are also offensive or actually toxic to cats (e.g. garlic, peppermint), but if Biggie isn't going out onto the balcony anymore that shouldn't be a problem. What smells repel birds?
