truth telling

susandennisIt seems like every day I report that there is nothing on my agenda. Well, today it is the truth. I didn't even do the treadmill this morning. For no good reason. I just didn't. I've taken to watching Jeopardy while I treadmill so that leaves two problematic days every week. I listen to my book usually but I just didn't want to today. Tomorrow for sure but not today.
The Seahawks play at home today. When I finally did get up this morning, the daylight was just beginning and the first two rows of the stadium parking lot were already full. But, I will say, that level of obnoxious surrounding home games turns out to be inversely proportional to the level of suction of the team. This year, they are horrible so the home games haven't been bad at all. (Bad being overly loud, drunks all over everywhere from morning til Monday and the neighborhood just trashed.)
When I first moved to Seattle, the Seahawks sucked. The running joke was that if you left two tickets on the dash of an unlocked car, when you got back to it, there would be four. BUT the stadium was also domed. And I don't remember any tailgating. So home games were nothing. Then they tore down the dome and built an open air stadium and the Seahawks had a couple of good seasons. And the shit got ugly. It's nice to have a break.
I'll be inside here with the door closed anyway. No need to go anywhere.
But I do need to go brush my teeth.
