About a month ago I finally decided to move my every day prescriptions to Humana Pharmacy for a variety of reasons. This should be so simple to do. Plan A is to to to Humana Pharmacy and 'transfer'. Once that's completed on my side, they contact my Dr. and bingo bango, job done.

Except no. After many tries, they send me a letter - that's right. Snail mail. Saying they could not do the transfer because they never heard from my doctor.

So I go to My Chart. My Chart will not let me request a prescription change. "Go to your pharmacy and have them initiate the change." TILT! So sent an email with the explanation and the request. A week and a half ago. Crickets. I called. "There are 17 callers ahead of you."

Finally, today, I peed, got my cookies and my water and got all settled in and called and waited. For some reason Google's new 'hold for me' didn't work but that's fine. Actually the entire call only took 20 mins. Deed done. My Chart website says so and Humana Pharmacy website says so.

(There was a note in My Chart that the transfer had been initiated and it was signed by Tiphanie. Please. Her Mother must have had a cruel streak a mile long. If she had a nickel for every time she had to correct the spelling of her name...)

A much easier and straight forward process was the acquiring of an appointment to see my lung doctor. I do love my lung doctor but he turned me over to his nurse practitioner a few years ago and I really love her because she is soooooo available and so nice and so accommodating. I made it for the first weekend in January because thanks to an insurance change which starts in the new year, it will cost me less.

Next up medical, shit wise, is a call to the inhaler specialists at Humana about getting on their el-cheapo program. But I want to wait until December to do that.

In 2008 I was on a project for a company whose HR person was named Tiffani. I thought — did her parents not realize no one would take her seriously as an adult? Even without the cutsie spelling?

"Tiphanie" is adding insult to injury. Poor thing.

If her mother knew that Stephanie was the superior name, why didn't she just go with that?? Stephanie is always the superior name.

People should not be allowed to spell names so badly. If they want to responsibility of a child they need to be able to give them a name they won't have to spell all their life

Medical care should not be so complex!
