I tried a new bubbly scrubbing thing (because at the time there were no scrubbing bubbles) and it works great because I think it's pretty much all bleach. I used it on the toilets and on the shower and I think I may be smelling it forever. At least it smells clean.

After my entry this morning, I decided to call the gym and see about the pool. It's open. It's fine. No reservations needed. Now if I could just get there.

I got the sim installed in my car phone and it fucked up my Google Voice but tweaks here and there and help from my brother "call me, plz, i promise not to answer" and it's fixed. Car phone going back to the glove box. Canceled Twigby.

Got new drugs from Humana and put them all in their little pill boxes. I have enough now to get me right into my next annual checkup when I'll get them all renewed or get new ones.

I ate lunch out of the freezer. Honestly, I think some of that food that's in there now probably needs to bypass my mouth and go to the dumpster. What was I thinking??

Way back when I was still going to the pool every day, I stopped listening to NPR - mostly because the woman who hosted the Sunday morning show just irritated the hell out of me. Also their coverage had pretty much gone the way of all TV and radio news... down down down. But, honestly, if that host had not ruined Sundays, I'd probably still be listening out of habit. Today I learned she left NPR for the New York Times back in September!! No one told me. Guess I'll have to listen on Sunday as see what it's like now.

I'm trying not to start a new yarn project until I finish the two that are more than halfway done now. I'm trying but I think I'm going to fail.

it's all bad news anyway. My parents are news junkies, at least they listen to NPR and not Fox, but I often wonder how they can stomach listening to and watching the news several hours a day when it's always terrible, it's all school shootings or more covid cases or the Trumpazoids did something else horrible.

I haven't listened to Weekend Edition in ages, since I'm always at the bakery on the weekends. As far as the weekday stuff goes.... downhill for sure. I remember when I was a kid, NPR would just report the news and let you figure out how you feel about it. Now they tell you how you're supposed to feel about it. It seems like the whole notion of just giving you the news straight has gone the way of the dodo.

I am very ADD with projects, whether writing, cross-stitch or quilting. I have about a dozen stories in progress, maybe half that many quilts and cross stitch things . . . Consequently it's a huge achievement if I ever finish anything. Of course, right now, I can't cross stitch until my new glasses come in, because I can't see well enough to do it.
