When I finally got connected to his person at the vet hospital she said

"OMG he is the best! He's so active and vocal and sweet and fun. He's doing great."

And more people fall under Biggie's spell.

She said I could come get him at noon or at 1 and I told her NOON or earlier, please. "I understand. I'll bet your house is sure quiet without him."

You go that right!! They want to watch and hydrate him more and then remove tubes and make sure he's fine without and see if he will eat a little more. (Unless they are feeding him Fancy Feast Petites Chicken and Rice, OR small plastic things, I doubt they will have much luck.)

BUT noon. I'm so ready. And sounds like he is, too.

Meanwhile, I spent last night triaging my phone situation. I discovered that the surgeon called yesterday just before 4. I still don't have the message he left, but I sure would have liked to have skipped those hours of not knowing. GEESH.

I have two numbers - my main number which is Google Voice and my phone's sim number. Neither was working for shit last night. And then I got oe fixed and then it broke again. Now one goes right to voice mail and one rings and if no answer goes to voice mail. This is acceptable for now.

At least until I get it figured out.

But first breakfast. And then a shower. And then a wait until maybe 11ish. The vet hospital is right across the street from IKEA so maybe I'll go have a stroll through there first. Kill time. Get in some steps. Maybe even get some lunch. I like that plan.

well, why is the cat so careless, pulling everything into his mouth. It's good that he tolerates operations normally. Health to the cat!

Hi, this is Sally. Now that Biggie is on the mend, I can suggest a possible tribute to him from the Seattle veterinary services:

"This plaque is dedicated to Almond Joy ("Biggie") for his generous contrbutions to the greater Seatlle area veterinary services, with special recognition paid to his more-than-generous assistance in providing such excellent opportunities for staff to hone their abdominal surgical and front paw reparation skills."

Said plaque to depict a flying cat with half a milk carton pull-off band in his mouth.
