Biggie heater
Dec. 13th, 2021 01:14 pmEvery time I sit down, Biggie sits in my lap. Fine by me. It's cold in here today and he's 10 pounds of pure heat. We might get snow tomorrow. Well, here, a block from the sea, we'll get a flake maybe. But still. Cold and gray, just the way I like it.
My financial advisor, Tyler, called this morning. He had apparently left me voice mails that joined those from the vet in never never land. But, I set that phone number to go right to the real voice mail and left a message to call the other number if they want to talk to me and that worked! So. yeah. Phone issues not solved but at least fixed.
Tyler had all kinds of CPA options for me. He said he was as shocked as I was at Gordon's retiring. Except he'd actually met Gordon so knew it was a possible. Of all those options, we agreed that my doing it myself with Turbo Tax makes the best sense.
Then I went and signed into Intuit and looked around and the updated my Mint account which had not been touched in years. I figured that it might help to have that stuff current. Then I went to the IRS site just to check in. So, now I'm ready. Will be nice to save some coin, too.
And speaking of which. I did go get cash and walked around the block and discovered that one of the empty storefronts in this very building is now a COVID testing site! Their sign says they offer rapid tests. I suspect for a pretty penny. But nice to know it's there, tho. Not quite as good as a coffee or sandwich shop but handy.
