Biggie was in his chair and I went to gather my stuff before bagging him. Before I even touched the damn bag, I came into the room with my jacket and shoes on and he ran under the sofa! The first time he's ever done that. Cracked me up. Treats would not even get him out.

I finally got him and we went with me laughing. The wait was very short and finally this time we got his feline leukemia shot. Every time before, I'd ask and they forgot and I'd forget to follow up. But now he's done. Whew. I got a really sweet tech this time. Not judgy like the last one - she wasn't terrible but a little judgy. She said to come back on Thursday and they'd pull out the remaining stitches and staples.

We can do that!

When we got home, we switched from the onsie to the collar and he seems fine with it.

I'm thinking about maybe making some gingerbread cookies.

Cats "know!" They intuitively sense the small nuances of what you plan to do - before you've make any physical moves. Of course he ran under the bed! Smart Kitty! 😜

We had a cat who would disappear under some distant piece of furniture if we so much as thought of getting the carrier out. But with our most recent one, we would put the carrier down in the living room and she would walk right into it to check it out. (She was a pretty good traveler – probably because she started getting car rides at a very early age – and while she would complain briefly when she realized she had been caught yet again, she settled down pretty quickly.)
