I finished watching Series 2 of Baptiste. Really excellent writing and plot. And acting. And then I went to find something else. Somewhere I read to put a show called Avenue 5 on my ToWatch list. So I fired it up. (HBO Max) and OMG it may be the funniest scripted TV ever scripted.

I gave Biggie his last medicine today. Except then, an hour later, I got up and found the pill in the fabric of my pants. So I gave it to him again. This time I saw him swallow.

I love licking the bowls and the beaters when I bake. Maybe that's why my baked goods never taste their best until the next day. Today I am discovering that yesterday's gingerbread cookies are phenomenal. I may have to make more because these will not last around here.

My trip to Costco this morning was perfect. There were a lot of old people there but it was not nearly packed and many aisles were empty. I got in a good walk and got my steaks.

I've lost $8,000. Well, not really. $7,928. And I didn't lose it but someone sure did. I had my bank send that much to the bank that the condo management company uses. It should have gone right to my account. Last Wednesday. It did not. I sent an email yesterday to the management company and got crickets. Finally today, I picked up the phone and got connected to Daisy. She asked all the right questions and once the magnitude of the problem appeared to her she said "Oh my god, you must be frantic. I get stressed when $1 goes missing." I knew I was in good hands. She said she'd figure it out and get back to me tomorrow or today. I'm grateful for Daisy.

I keep a thermometer here by my chair. Sometimes I am all of a sudden too cold (or too hot) and without someone here to corroborate, it's how I know I'm not imaginating. Of course, feeling too cold when it isn't doesn't mean a blanket or lap robe won't help. Fortunately I'm working on one right now that is far enough along to warm as well as be a work in progress.

That is odd about your condo fees. I do hope she can get it straightened out. I mean if the bank doesn't have it? Hmm.

We went to Costco today and it was annoyingly crowded. My mom would be looking at things, and I would try to find an out of the way spot to stand with the cart. Yet, people kept coming!

I have a thermometer near my bed, for the same reason, to make sure it really is too hot or too cold.

My apartment doesn't have its own heat controls. Whatever heating system the condo uses generally gets it right, but sometimes the temperature strays a bit from what it should be.

Zen and I loved Avenue 5! And there's supposed to be a season 2 but I don't know when.

I would be pretty freaked out about that much money missing too! Glad someone is looking into it!

I saw avenue 5 when it first came out. Dana did not like and I thought you wouldn't either. Shows what I know.
