It's over now but it was wonderful to wake up to and it's still clinging to the trees and sills that I can see from my chair.

I opened the door a bit ago to get a better look and guess who else decided to get a better look?

He totally had his eye on that ledge and was NOT interested in coming back in. Now he's pissed and just going around the house knocking shit off of whatever its on in retaliation.

Twitter is all snow picks from around town which is great fun.

There's a Seahawks game today. Fortunately, the worst fans will likely be no shows. Between the snow, the virus and the team's shitty record, I'm thinking tickets to the game will be cheap and easy to come by.

I love walking in the quiet snow, hearing that boot crunch. But I'm going to pass on that today. For one thing, because of the game, there is no quiet. But, mainly, I'm playing the old lady card. I sure do not need to slip in the snow and fall and break something and get taken to the hospital where I'll get COVD and die - just another stat. I think I'll just say here - warm and cozy inside with Mr. Crazy Cat.

I've got my knitting and lots of good TV and I think I'll whip up a batch of breakfast burritos today.

Actually that is good thinking about slipping. Last year I was out in front (six months after knee replacement) and my right foot slipped on the ice. I crumpled down with my left leg under me fully bending my knee way past where it had been before until I was sitting on my leg. My first thought was 'well, this is not optimal'. I managed to get back up and get inside and get ice on it. No upside to trying to get an ambulance to the house in the middle of a power out, street shut down, snow storm.

Fortunately the swelling went down and I was fine by the next day.

But it was a hell of a way to learn that I was old. Very lucky way. I'm a little more careful now.

Of course, it will probably never snow here again but you get the idea.

my goodness, I had a TKR 6 years ago and I was never fond of ice. Now it scares the yellow fluid out of me. This is nasty, I'm glad you're okay. And old...yeah, me too.

I'm pretty stable. I've got a dog trainer who gets me up every morning (x 365 days a year!) to walk our half an hour up and down hills. I've had hip and opposite side knee but my legs are very strong and I've got excellent balance. Which makes me a danger to myself, of course, in an ice situation. I'm more careful now.

It's sad to see the Seahawks out of the playoffs this year. They really need to shore up their defense for next season.
