When I woke up this morning, there were tell tale signs that it had snowed and I could see in the street lamp that it was still snowing but now that it's daylight, the snow has stopped and the thermometer out on my terrace says 37 degrees. So I guess we're done.

But, twitter is reporting collisions here there and everywhere so I'm guessing the roads might still be a bit icy.

Another day indoors for me which is fine and dandy. I'm very grateful that I don't want or have to be anywhere else and have a lovely warm, dry place to hang and enjoy.

There is water(?) dripping onto the closed flue in the fireplace. I've never heard it before and I'm wondering if I should worry. I could open the flue and see what the deal was but then what. The building manager is on vacation. The management company is pretty much useless in a situation like this. I think I'm going to pretend that it's a common occurance and no big deal.

I did not make biscuits yesterday but today I think I will. Also I might go down and clear out the mailbox. So, see, I've got agenda items!!

Also I bought another Sparkle ball shooter game on my phone so don't tell me my day's got nothing.

37 degrees sounds balmy to me.

Good luck with that drip.

For some reason those degrees above freezing seem to be rife for creating black ice. The surface is melting temperature, but the cold ground isn't. It can be a dangerous time for driving.

I like to embrace snowflakes! This is also the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!
Do you like snowflakes?

I'm glad you don't have to be out on those icy roads. If I didn't have to drive on crappy roads I'd enjoy winter a lot more.

I hope the water in the fireplace isn't anything to worry about.

I assume that your fireplace is operational even if you never build a fire in it. It has to be open at the top to allow the smoke to escape, but unfortunately that also means that a little rain may be able to get in. It is nothing to worry about. If there had ever been a chimney cap on the flue, it may have blown off allowing some rain to come in. Any repairs would have to be done from the roof, not from inside your apartment. So let the building manager know what is happening when he returns, but there is nothing to worry about.
