One of the giant snow piles in the parking lot across the street is down to the size of a VW Beetle. The other is now about 3 SUV's and getting pretty dirty. It's way above freezing today and expected to stay that way so they could be gone pretty soon.

However, the virus won't melt so here I'll stay.

I have an appointment on Wednesday morning with the nurse practitioner from my lung doctor's office. I made the appointment originally because I want to see if there's any cure/fix/treatment for my issues with chlorine pools. And I need my inhaler prescription refilled. And I haven't been in the office since early 2019 so time to get a check.

I still need the prescription but I'm wondering if I should just get a video appointment or reschedule all together. If she has a magic bullet for swimming, I wouldn't go now anyway - at least until the virus numbers go down again.

On the other hand, my appointment is at 8 and she never makes me wait anyway. Maybe I can sneak in and out before the germs wake up.

Between now and then, it's biz as usual. Crocheting and stuff. The house has gotten a little untidy and I need to nip that in the bud. I think today I'll play a round of Pretend You Have Company Coming Over. Not a big job but one that needs doing before it becomes a big job.

Book: finished The Dentist by Tim Sullivan - A really nicely done police procedural. There's a second in the series and it's now on my ToRead pile.
started The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah

Watched: another episode of Critical (Amazon Prime) and This Old House.

It is too bad there isn't a salt water pool nearby. We used to have a pool and I could never use it because the chlorine bothered my skin. We thought about changing it out to salt water, but then we moved. ... I have to do that often with my poor cleaning skills, the 'Pretend Company is Coming', hee hee. Happy Monday!

I like almost anything by Kristin Hannah (the exception being Firefly Lane). We read 'The Great Alone' for book club.

It would be nice if they could give you ideas on how to help your lungs handle the pools.

I like your game for cleaning, I should try that. lol My house is a disaster right now.

I've heard a lot of good things about that book. I haven't read anything by that author before.

Maybe if you move fast, you’ll be able to outrun the germs.

I agree that the world would be healthier if more pools switched to salt water. That's especially true of indoor pools where it traps that air in. Sorry you have to deal with the breathing issues. I would be devastated if that was me. I hate chlorine even though I can breathe it in.
