I'm going to Goodwill today. My donation pile needs rehoming and I need a couple of things at the store. Plus steps. So I'm going. The smallest crowds seem to be when they first open so that's when I'll go.
I made a batch of ginger cookies yesterday. A good batch.
I bought a carton of egg whites a while back and froze what I didn't use in an ice cube tray. Then I popped out the cubes and put them into a baggie.
Yesterday I got one of the cubes and put it into a small plastic bowl and set that bowl into one of hot water. It thawed quickly. I added some vanilla - maybe 5 drops and mixed the two together and then dumped in powdered sugar until the consistency was what I wanted. Could not have been easier and turned out exactly right.
Very satisfying.
Not very satisfying is that one of my long time LJ friends, who posts daily, is missing. The last post was about medical issues at the end of December. I'm sure the news is bad but not knowing is even more worrying.
It's way warmer here today (46/7 at 9am) and rainy. We haven't had much sun so the snow mountains still stand. Maybe they should build chair lifts for them...
I need to cut my hair before my shower this morning so I'd better get going or I'm going to miss the non-rush hour at Goodwill!

Watched yesterday: Bob Hearts Abishola, more Never Have I Ever and Stay Close. On PBS, Ask This Old House and the final episode of RFDS: Royal Flying Doctor Service

Date: 2022-01-08 03:30 am (UTC)I love RFDS, mostly for the amazing outback scenery. When the plague age is over one of my travel plans is to drive across the Nullabor Plain to experience it for myself. Straight road for more than 1600 km/1000 miles.

Date: 2022-01-17 03:07 am (UTC)Also in the Down Under category is Lucy Lawless's series My Life Is Murder. Fairly routine mystery series but pretty. The first series was shot in Melbourne, the second in Auckland because we had no Covid at the time. They make Auckland look far more gorgeous than it actually is. I wish I lived there.
