Storage War Win

Finally, my 8 month supply of toilet paper arrived. Eight months is a guess but it's going to be a while before I get toilet paper stressed again. 32 rolls. I opened up the cupboard where I keep toilet paper and was able to put in all 32 rolls without moving anything! Now that's what I call a storage war win.

So I did leave the house and go downstairs. I emptied garbage and picked up packages and the mail. I ran into exactly ZERO peops. Now I'm back in Safe Land.

I got my tax form from Social Security today so I started working on my tax return on TurboTax. I did the beginning stuff and added in the form. I thought that once I put in my social security info, it would go get stuff like that but apparently not. No biggie. It has way too much warm and fuzzy rhetoric but then I went to save and log out and nothing. I got nothing. No 'save' option. Now 'take a break' option. Nothing. So I shut 'er down and hope it's there when I get back. I didn't do much so it won't take much to recreate.

I made another breakfast casserole. The last one wasn't the best so I changed stuff up this time. More eggs, more cream and instead of building layers, I just mixed it all up with the cheese and bread cubes and sausage crumbles in one big bowl and poured from there. I do hope it's better. We will know tomorrow.

I looked up the author of the book I'm reading and boy was that a rabbit hole. Turns out Kristin Hannah lives a 30 minute ferry ride from me! Then I went to her Instagram and found a pre Christmas photo where she's lunching with other local authors so I had to track them all down. Wild.

I told letmesaythis in a comment, but for better coverage, thanks to all of you adding your Now Reading and Now Watching info. I've gotten great suggestions already.

The dishes are washed and I'm all caught up. Time to watch some TV and yarn fiddle.

I ordered two boxes of toilet paper once from Uline misunderstanding the quantity. We ended up with 196 rolls. Dana was thrilled.

not a peep. i'm hoping that if he's not able, someone will at least check his email and reply to my note. i have no clue how/who to ask who might know something.

do you do facebook? he's how3ird (Howard Stateman). i don't have an account but i was thinking maybe one of his sisters might have commented or something.

on the up side, no obits in Las Vegas or Mountain View or even Seattle

i do think there's a good chance we may never hear anything which does feel so weird.

I've sent a couple of messages to people he's linked on facebook. Hopefully, we hear something back. I'm so used to seeing his posts on LJ that it's odd without him.

Oh that's excellent. I do hope you hear something. I really do miss his entries, too. I'm so glad you asked. It helps to have a howeird friend to worry with.

I just looked up “Four Winds” on Amazon kindle and it is EXACTLY the kind of historical fiction I adore. But right now the price is a bit too rich for my blood. Especially knowing that I have literally thousands of other books sitting on my kindle waiting to be read. As a consolation, i might pull up one of Doctorow’s books that is similar and reread that. 🙂
