Amazon delivered the replacement camera this morning at 8! I got it set up and operating and it's working fine. Nice. UPS will pick up the broken one on Monday. Easy peasy.

I finally gave up on the Thomas Perry audiobook. I was only 20% in but getting more annoyed with every minute. Audible used to have a very liberal return policy but over time they have chipped chipped chipped away at it and now it's a sliver of hope. If you chat or call and ask very nicely, they will give you your credit back. Probably not too many times. But, I got it back today. In the olden days Audible was a really miraculous service. Your credits never expired and you could return any purchase with a couple of clicks. But, now, they've changed.

But, they've also added a huge pile of books that cost nothing beyond the membership. And they still have very responsive customer service. And they lock in a lot of titles so the library cannot off them. All in all, it's a pricey luxury but worth it to me.

Meanwhile, the latest Michael Robotham came available at the library so I'm fine and cool in the book listening department.

Somehow I thought the free grocery delivery from Amazon Fresh was now $5. NBD but still, I can pick up which is free. Except I discovered, by accident, that 1. the delivery option is cheaper on some stuff (avocado $1.79 pickup or $1.19 delivery). 2. over $35 total order, still free delivery 3. a couple of weeks ago, there were no delivery slots available for a couple of days. Now there are plenty.

So, I just ordered up the stuff I need to be delivered this afternoon. Safer and easier. Done.

I think I'll do some laundry today and a few little chores around the house. Same same. Easy livin'!

Watched: FBI Most Wanted (CBS) (so much better without that loud drum beat for the entire show), Leverage (IMDB). I got about 15 minutes into the 2nd episode of Good Sam and decided I don't have enough years left to waste time with that show. Delete.

I haven't been on Audible for a while and just found the free books! Excellent.

I'm thinking Audible might be the answer to the yammering newsmongers. Also, this (https://fullcastaudio.com).

You're more tenacious than me! I didn't get further into Good Sam than five minutes. I'll try anything with Jason Isaacs in but no.

As it turns out, my prediction of a few days ago about what would happen when we watched an episode of "Good Sam" was inaccurate. We started watching the second episode (having missed the pilot), and [livejournal.com profile] jwg immediately started saying "I don't think this one is going to make it"... When we got to the end of the episode, I said, "We're killing this one, right?" and he said, somewhat hesitantly, "I guess so...", and so, since I had the remote, I quickly went and deleted the OnePass before he could change his mind.

My summary: Yet another medical melodrama, doesn't add anything useful to the ones we already have, characters are flat, events are predictable, premise is preposterous.

Hardly even noticed the Thomas Perry was there. Sorry it wasn't good.
