One lost LJ friend accounted for!

i got this from dadi who clearly says to repost but the entry is locked so not very repostable... i did a copy/paste instead.

spiffikins found fansee's granddaughter on Facebook and asked her if she knew how Fansee did as she hadn't posted for so long. Reposting this:

Per Samantha -

"My grandmother had suffered 2 strokes and a fall on Nov 1. She is in recovery and getting healthier. She has been moved to new apartment that provides care and services for her. She is physically better and has gotten better mentally. Having very difficult short term memory issues but has just started reading again and can respond via text. She should be able to communicate via email if you have it."

I confirmed with Sam that the @yahoo.com email in her LJ profile is the best one to use (it is) - and Sam will let her know to be on the lookout for messages there, if you want to send her well wishes.

I did ask - Nancy's kitty, Smoke, was able to make the move to the new home with her!

Samantha did say that her uncle is Nancy's caretaker right now, and is not really "aware" of LJ - but Sam knows that her grandmother has been part of a community on here since Sam was a teenager, and so she was happy to relay the news to me and for me to share it here.

Not great news - but it's also not as bad as I had feared - and it sounds like Nancy is making strides toward recovery!

Please feel free to repost - I have friend overlap only with a very few of her LJ group!

Now I just have to find howeird. sunshine_two says he has posted on Facebook since he's been here. Weird but he is, after all Howeird.
