I started tracking the books I read in about 1995. This was so that I would quit buying books I'd already read. I kept it up religiously. Added little reviews. Published it on my website. For years. Until Goodreads.

I moved it all over there and kind of fell out of love with the project but still kept it up with the same fervor. The Goodreads started to piss me off.

I moved it all over to Library Things which I never ever did learn how to operate correctly. I tried hard but finally just abandoned.

Not long ago, I went back to Goodreads. My account was gone but I was able to export everything from Library Things and import that list into Goodreads. Goodreads now thinks I read more than 1,000 books on December 21, 2021.

I added the most recent reads today and I guess I'll go back to being religious about it.

At least now, I can go back and easily see what I actually have read easily. It should be available to anyone without a need to log into Goodreads.

I literally LOLed at Good Reads thinking you read 1000 books in a day! :D

I used to track books I read on LJ, but I have been terrible about it for years. Starting tracking again for this year. I stopped using good reads or posting to Facebook since there are too many people IRL who don't need to know what I'm reading. ;)

I started a books post in 2006 here on LJ and am trying to be better about updating it. A few weeks ago I had to go through old photos (I document m book pile on IG) and tagged LJ posts to update books read in 2020 and 2021. I don't read nearly as many books as you, so there's little danger of reading the same one again.
