xinas_island turned me on to Postable last Christmas. It's totally painless way to send a personal greeting card. The cards they send are high quality and they offer fonts that are like handwriting (except readable).

So when the 20 (that's right 20) year old sweetest dog in the world passed away, it was perfect to send to her owners - my neighbors, Tija and Sandy. I just got an email from Tija. So now I know the schedule.

Created the card online on Jan 12. They sent it on Jan 17. It was received on Jan 24. So, not good for fast action but still, a very excellent service.

Our COVID numbers continue to improve but I think I'm still going to try and hold off random adventures until next week, if I can.

I certainly can today. UPS is bringing my new computer. Probably around noon-ish.

In the olden days, you'd need to set aside a day or so to get a new computer all set up. With a chromebook, it generally takes about 5 minutes. But, maybe if I type really slowly, I could drag it out to 15. They will be a fun 15 anyway.

I have one more episode of Halifax Retribution to watch. This is a really interesting and good show/series. PBS Masterpiece. You can add it onto Amazon Prime for $5 a month. Well, worth it - at least for a month or two.

Right now, I have so many things on my Watch Next list. If baseball actually does start on time, I'm going to run out of watching hours before I get to them all. And then there's the Watch If I'm Out Of Other Stuff list. It's an expensive TV era but a great one right now.

I also watched 911 Lonestar last night and Bob Hearts Abishola (still one of my absolute favorites - also Billy Gardell is losing some serious weight).

Time to shower. Nice to be all clean when I meet my new computer.

I might have to actually shell out the money to watch this show — it has some of my favourite Australian actors! (Claudia Karvan, Rebecca Gibney...)

I need to start earmarking some funds to do Postables more often. It's super easy, so I feel like if I got into a consistent habit after a while of going there and sending out cards it'll be a great habit to have.
Hand writing letters is a pain these days (literally, my hand goes numb tingly after a short while) and so I love being able to type things out easy peasy with it.

Aww I love Bob❤️ Abishola. I need to catch up on it. I've gotten behind on so many new shows. 🤣

"Halifax: Retribution" was shown here on the PBS station in the fall. I found it really interesting. jwg kept saying "I don't know about this show", which is his way of saying that he's watching it out of obligation rather than actually enjoying it. It was not a comfortable watch, that's for sure.
