surprise daylight

I slept very late for me and by the time I finished the treadmill, and left the bedroom (where this is no window) it was daylight out. On a regular day it would make me feel like I was wasting time and already behind. But, on this, another go-nowhere-because-of-COVID day, it's no biggie.

Our numbers are still going down but still very high. Way higher than even December. From the county chart. And ya gotta figure lots of people are getting positive results from at home tests and not reporting them.



I keep this page open in a tab on my computer. When really get the itch to go somewhere, I look at it and decide maybe it doesn't itch that badly.

This morning I saw on Instagram... "When you realize that 1970 and 2022 are as far apart as 1970 and 1918..." Wow. I was 21 in 1970. My grandma was 18 in 1918. Interesting to think about.

There were no cookies made yesterday. There may be cookies made today.

I got the first inkling of the year disparity when I realized I'd been retired from the Navy longer than I'd been in. That was five years ago. And still they send me money!

when I was working at the Registrar's Office I was getting stuff ready for graduation. One of our graduating students was name 'Liberty' - she'd been born in 1976. I'm thinking to myself...how is she in law school? That was just a little while ago.

It was 2004...
