I was considering where to put the window cat hammock when all of a sudden it dawned on me - the real reason Biggie cannot have one of them is because of the blinds!!

In summer, the blinds stay down a lot to keep the heat out. In winter they come down any day when we have sun in the evening. A window hammock would fuck that up 9 ways to Sunday. Damn.

Ok, cat tree it is. I killed an hour re-looking at them. I did this a few months ago and found a couple I didn't hate. Of course supply chain is now in play and apparently only the really really really ugly ones are getting though.

I rarely if ever buy anything on Amazon that does not have a review but this had a 40% off coupon AND free return so I'll chance it. Be here Thursday. I didn't tell Biggie. I think it will be more fun to surprise him.

I successfully added pockets to what is now my new favorite shirt. If I go slowly and carefully and baste before sew, it all works out much better. I decided to go ahead and do another one but this one has to have a lot of stitch unpicking first so I did about half. I'll finish the other half maybe tomorrow.

Then I made cookies. I made more ginger cookies. I love these things so much and now I've got the recipe down pat. Today's batter was so good. It came away from the bowl sides not even leaving enough to scrape out for a taste. I also tried a new trick that may or may not be successful. I rolled out the dough and baked it in a sheet to be cut after. I like very crispy cookies and it remains to be seen how crispy these will be. But ohhhh so simple and required 3 baking pans instead of 4 or 5.

Man, now this is some true Real Estate Porn: This house about 30 mins from here, just sold for nearly a million over the asking price. It's an ok house 3k sq ft. 3 bedrooms, ok neighborhood. Whole lotta beige paint. I mean it suffers from beige. It's probably worth what they were asking. Wonder if it was a cash offer.

Listed for $2,650,000 on Jan 12 and then sold for 3,630,000 on Jan 31.

The house is very pretty, but it's not a house for an older person. I'd break my neck on the steps to the sunken living room. LOL — "it suffers from beige." I agree.

Great on the pocket success! Sometimes I notice it makes all the difference to take the time to baste first.

You're right. The house "suffers from beige" LOL. The difference in cost of living from one part of the country to another blows my mind.

All those fancy fittings and they dont put a panel in front of the sink pipes in the bathroom ??? Nice beige marble ..a black sink (wtf) and luminous white plastic utility pipes. Cheap.
