I have 15 pouches of Wellness food that Biggie does not like. He does like midnight munchies. So last night I emptied one of those pouches into his bowl before bed. This morning it was nearly all gone. Good to know. I have a whole lotta cans of stuff he does not like, too. This could be a very good discovery.

The county is getting very close to December's numbers in new cases. So 300 cases a day instead of the 6,000 we had in January. Much better. Much safer.

I think I'm going out today. I think I'll go pick up some groceries and maybe try that chicken place that's been on my list.

Other than that, not much on the agenda today or this week, actually. Just a nice, quiet week. No expectations. I like it.

Yesterday, I discovered that Amazon Prime had dropped all the episodes of Reacher. I had thought it was going to be a weekly drop. So I started watching I loved reading the Reacher series a lot until finally, the authors (now there are two) hit the wall plot wize and just started repeating. The TV show cast the perfect Reacher. The show is not subtle (but, then, neither are the books or even the character). but there is enough to enjoy. Thanks, Amazon.

I'm in a good watching place. I have more The Fall, and more Goliath, and a nice, healthy list of other ToWatchNext.

And, I think I've finally found my next good read. The Snow Killer by Ross Greenwood. It's funny how sometimes, I get hooked in the first 5 minutes of listening. It's fabulous when it happens in a book that is Book 1 of a series from a guy who isn't already on death's door and has other stuff published already and is still writing. PLUS, this book and several others are in Audible's 'free' pile. Sweet.

when my black kitty (Sally) first got sick, the vet put her on some Very Expensive Food. I always washed out her dish and gave it back to her with her dinner/breakfast in it and there was never a problem but when I started her on the VEF, I used a different dish. She turned her nose up at the food. After a consult with the Amazing Doctor Holtze, I switched back to her 'real' dish. She ate the food.

Cats.

So funny. One of the things I like about my dog, Zoe, she is hungry, tells me (usually around 3PM). I put stuff in her bowl. She eats it. No drama.

Watched the first three Reachers last night. And I think they have picked up the flavor of the books perfectly.

Amen. I hate it when I pick up a book by an octogenarian, love it, then realize that there's not apt to be more. Or a favorite writer who's relatively young, but retires. (Looking at you, Mary Doria Russell!)

Having been fascinated by the first four volumes of Robert Caro's immense biography of Lyndon Johnson, I've been waiting impatiently (for a long time now) for the final volume. Caro is 86, and I worry.

I would worry, too. I remember thinking each new mystery P.D. James wrote would be her last, and then she came out with a piece of fanfic! Death Comes To Pemberley. Not all output at that age is quality output.

Yeah, that was not P. D. James at her best by any means.

I liked the Jack Reacher books. I may need to try out the series. I'll probably wait until we don't have to quarantine, because my husband might like those too . . .

YAY for finding a new book to read! :)

Biggie cracks me up with his food antics. I'm sure it's not as amusing for you, but it's funny how he can be so picky sometimes and other times not so much.

I wondered if the new Reacher was worth watching, maybe I'll check that out. I'm watching The Fall right now, David got me started on it over the weekend, I'm really liking it. I think I'm in the middle of season 2.

I was telling my niece the other day how wonderful it is to find a series that you truly enjoy because you know you've got a nice lineup of books to read without having to find something new.
