I could not keep my eyes open last night so I turned out the light about 9. It took me less than a second to fall asleep. I woke up at 7:15. And, Fitbit says it was the worse night of sleep this week.

Then I got on the treadmill and my right foot and leg felt really weird like they were going to buckle. I tried for a bit hoping that it would settle itself but nope. I did not fancy falling off the treadmill mid walk so I quit.

Biggie was going nuts. He tried again to bite my shin while I was on the toilet (he didn't try hard but I did feel his teeth) and he ran around like nuts. He did eat his normal wet food breakfast. I was a little concerned that now, with dry food always there, the wet food was a goner but no. He ran all over everywhere and finally settled down and is now finally stopped and is behind the curtain bird watching.

Just a whacked out morning so far.

I think I'll go nowhere today. I have a bundle of shit coming from Amazon (Subscribe and Save), and Biggie's new perch to put together. Just stuff to do here and nothing really needed to do out there.

I did watch the rest of Reacher. It was just good TV. But it sure needs a food grip. In addition to the questionable tomato situation, a supposedly excellent peach pie was featured. I could tell just by looking at it that it was not even close to good much less excellent. In the end, Reacher agreed with me but still, they could have tried to make it look better. I'm guessing the person in charge of food is an anorexic vegan who hates fruit.

I also watched an episode of The Resident. Not a great show but Ok if I need to pay attention to my crochet.

My thought is that the writer(s) and director(s) are from NYC and don't know shit about tomato sandwiches or peach pie. The real people in the barber shop and diner would be embarrassed by offering such.

When my sleep tracker and I disagree I tend to ignore it.

I meant to comment on the previous tomato sandwiches mention. Are tomato (and mayonnaise) sandwiches a thing in the US?

Interesting. Is the Roma variety the best one to have? I have them here in a sandwich, but with red salmon (cooked) or double gloucester cheese. The tomatoes tend to be piccolo or sugardrop, which I'm guessing come from somewhere European and hot.

the best ones IMHO are beefsteak varieties. Nice and thick, one slice and salt and mayo on white bread...I live in Central NYS and I wait all year for the end of July and the month of August so I can eat tomato sandwiches. Tomato and toast for breakfast...

I grew up on tomato sandwiches in upstate NY. You can only eat them in summer. Romas are great for cooking and not much else. They are readily available because they travel well.
I was going to point out Jersey tomatoes. It's the only thing I miss about the Garden State.

I'm a Jersey girl (where I grew up) with the best tomatoes anywhere. But the best I ever had in Jacksonville were grown by your brother when we worked together.

He was the best co-worker.....one time there were missing cookies and he had to tell me to let it go because I was "like Captain Queeg with the strawberries." It still makes me laugh.

We like The Resident. It has its weaknesses – like most long-running TV dramas, it was better the first couple of seasons – and I miss Dr. Okafor, but it's still entertaining enough for us to keep watching it.

I've only seen the first episode, where he had peach pie on the fork but put it down when the cops came in to arrest him. I was thinking you could at least have taken that bite!
