No Popeye's for you!!

I got everything I wanted at the dollar store which, of course is now the dollar and a quarter store. It's amazing to me how much of a difference that quarter makes. I used to breeze through there and buy everything I wanted because it was only a buck. Now it's $1.25 and I didn't buy lots of stuff I would have. That's two bits o' mind games right there.

But, mainly I wanted toothpaste. I'm very picky and while I can get it on Amazon, it's more than twice the price - even at $1.25. So I stocked up. And got some other stuff, too but not that much.

It was 11:15 and so I went on over to Popeye's. "Sorry, we're not open yet." "Ok, when do think you'll be open." "We're shooting for noon."

So I went to Walgreens and got some stuff and went back. The shadiest spot was actually near the speakers. Cars were coming through at a pretty good clip. But, when I heard her tell one guy "We're shooting for 12:30 or 1pm" I bailed.

I stopped at the teriyaki place on the way home. They fucked up my order but, finally got it out of the kitchen and when I got home I realized they'd doubled it so okdokey.

I need to take a load o' trash down to the dumpster and then I'll be ready to sit and crochet for a while...

Biggie's already nestled in for the afternoon. (According to the cams, he spent half of last night in his chair and half in the new perch. Wonder what's happening in his sleepy little kitty brain to make him change venues in the middle of the night.)

I love going through Dollar Tree and getting bushels of stuff for cheap.

Does he normally stay in one place during the night, or is moving usual?

He actually does a fair bit of wandering most nights. Last night I couldn't even find him until about 4 am when he was wandering around and finally at 5, he crawled in with me. Weirdo.

I like UltraBrite toothpaste and thanks to Dollar Tree I have 4 in inventory. I am ok with the $1.25 price hike too, but I have not changed due to the price hike. I still toss everything I think I might enjoy owning right into that basket or buggy!

There is a very popular locally owned Peruvian chicken spot near me that was recently telling people, "No chicken. Come back tomorrow." I wonder if your Popeye's had a supply chain chicken problem or a labor shortage that day.

This particular Popeye's has always been weird since the day it opened. So I think it's more likely they weren't finished playing cards yet.
