Well, that's rather much of a pickle
Feb. 16th, 2022 09:45 amMy eye appointment is at noon. It takes 15 mins to get there by car. It's now 9:15. I just got an email from the building manager that Bay 3's garage door is broken. I'm pretty sure that is the garage door I need.
We have 6 garage doors. 5 lead to under ground bays. 1 leads to the street level parking section. None are named or marked. The building manager always sends out garage door notices with numbered bays. But, having lived here now for 30 years, I never fucking know which door he's talking about.
The email sounds like access and egress is possible but discouraged - again, since his use of language is so weird, it's difficult to dig the meaning out of most of his emails.
I just wrote him an email asking for details but before I hit send I thought, fuck it. I'll just Lyft it. I can take the budget option and it will really only be a couple of bucks more than the cost of parking. Plus I can walk at least part of the way home and get in some steps. (All the public transportation options involve walking up one or more steep hills but the home journey is downhill.)
I spent a whole lotta yesterday watching Inventing Anna on Netflix. it's a riveting story and really done well with an excellent cast. I have a little more to go. I'll finish up today. I have other stuff I need to catch up on. Prime's Goliath, HBO's Guilded Age, Hulu's How I Met Your Father... to name a few.
Oh, the Fitbit customer service saga? All day in Twitter DM to then be told 'call Google'. Then they asked for feedback and I told them their service sucked. Then they wanted to 'make it right' so they opened a case, gave me a number and, via email yesterday afternoon, told me to 'call Google.' Ha. If anyone charges me before next October, I will. Otherwise. Bite me.
Ok, time to get showered and get dressed and get organized.

Date: 2022-02-17 03:00 am (UTC)It is intriguing what she managed to pull off, though. Ultimately the question of “how did that all happen?” will keep me in to the end. I just hope they manage to answer it.
