In the olden days, my schedule around swimming was carved in stone. M-F, up, out the door, swim, home to coffee and premade breakfast. Weekends, coffee then out the door, swim and often stop somewhere for breakfast after.

Yesterday I ate before I left. I was pretty much hungry all day. Today I had coffee but no breakfast and was ready to eat my recliner when I got home.

Even Biggie's got issues. He did not even touch his usual breakfast. When I got home, he wandered around and then ate some kibble, which he has been ignoring, and then finally ate his breakfast which, at that point had been sitting out for 5 hours.

We need to figure this out. We will.

Tomorrow, I plan to sleep until I wake up. Text the bus schedule, get dressed and leave. We'll see how that goes. The bus schedule makes it really hard to get there when the gym opens on weekdays so I'm not even going to try.

Today's swim was good. Mr. Sunday was there! I call him Mr. Sunday cause I have no idea what his name is. But, 98% of Sunday's he is there. Once in a blue moon, he'd come in on a Saturday. He said he only did it to screw with me. Mr. Sunday works with my old early morning swim buddy, Matt. He says Matt is fine but bought his own gym equipment and no longer is a member. So at least my new schedule won't be sacrificing swims with Matt.

There was another guy there waiting for them to open who I barely recognize but he knew me and my swimming habits well and said he was so glad to see me and had missed me for the past two years. And the mean bitch who always hogs the lane was also there. So good and not great.

But the swim was good. 10 minutes in, I was ready to quit. I couldn't get my breath. My back and arms and shoulders all hurt. 20 minutes in, I hit my stride and went on to finish my mile in an hour. And it was great.

The bus home was great. The walk from the bus stop to home SUCKED. I can swim 1,700 yards with ease and cannot walk 352 yards without having to stop and rest twice!!! Ridiculous.

Next on my agenda is kitchen clean up. Also maybe some laundry. I do have some heavy duty crochet to do. I need to start on a test pattern for this designer and I have to do my weekly temperature scarf (which is actual knitting).

I'm watching season 3 of Goliath (Prime) which is not a good season but I'll finish it and go to the 4th.

I'm in between books. I need to spend some time 'shopping' for the next one today.

What great exercise! Maybe the walk will start getting easier with the added swimming. I really need to get with it exercise wise here.

God, I LOVE to swim. I'm glad you're able to do so, and love hearing about it.
I wish I was closer to the Y or on a busline that went by one of them so I could go.
I hope you and Biggie get it figured out. I know how I worry about Bonnie.

Have you tried the Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child books? I’m currently reading Diablo Mesa and it’s pretty good.
