susandennisAfter 20 LJ years, this is sure different but so much of the same, too. It has the same feel as the first day of school the year you change schools. New beginnings.
I'm glad to have so many old friends over here and hope to make new ones. Also VERY happy that my favorite brother,bill_schubert has come over. (And that was my first user tag - like a lot of this DW world, I'm not entirely sure I did it right. Ah, just tested in preview and yep, it works!)
No swimming today. I called LA Fitness last night and they said the pool guy was coming today (seems like I've heard that before). By now that water must be more lima bean soup than just pea. Ugh.
Then I had a great idea. I want to go to the dollar store and there's one north of town and not all that much farther, there's another LA Fitness. I called them to make sure their pool was open only to learn it's a chlorine pool. Oh well.
Last week, I was out waiting for the bus and it was 22 degrees out. This morning, same time,it is 49 degrees out.
It's misty/rainy out and very gray and very few birds. But, that's not stopping Biggie. He's there under the curtain in his stealth spot on active bird alert.
By now, I'd have upgraded my cable TV package (at a very hefty price) and would have already watched a couple of Spring Training games. Except so far, no baseball at all. They say that if no agreement is reached today, they will need to cut the season short. Nice. The season is supposed to start the first week in March. My first game is March 2. I'm not hopeful. And I'm bummed. But at least I'm not having to shell out all those extra $ to the cable company.
I think before I head out today, I'm going to move all the stuff from the Goodwill box to the car. The box is getting full and having it in the car will serve as incentive to actually get it to the donation sight.

Baseball, so sad that it could be a short season. They need to get with it!
