Well, the chipper guy I talked to at the gym when I called last night was wrong. The pool is actually fixed. It looks great. BUT it's still closed because the front desk people have not yet been told to open it. So I got there this morning to a sign that said "Pool and Spa Closed Until Further Notice". I'd be way more annoyed but... my bad really for not calling this morning to double check. They open at 5 and the bus doesn't leave here until 5:50 and today it was 10 minutes late. I had a crapton of time to call and verify.

Also, I got in steps. Walking to and from the bus there and the bus back. More steps than if I had walked around a few blocks and definitely more than the treadmill. Tomorrow, I will call before I leave the house.

The differences between Dreamwidth and LiveJournal are still tripping me up. Also the importer is still failing for me. I keep saying it doesn't matter and it doesn't but I keep trying anyway. I tried for days a couple of weeks ago and it failed every time. Then one day it didn't. So I'm hoping for the same. I just need one more non-fail. Please.

I found a lovely community - [community profile] addme and through a post there found some old LJ friends and some new ones. Welcome, friends!

I have my annual doctor's appointment this morning but it's not for a couple of hours. Then, I think, I'm going to make a Costco run. More steps plus I'm out of cheeseburgers and low on bacon.

Last night I watched FBI International and The Rookie. I love the latter. It goes from silly to ridiculous but still it's just charming.

I'm got 40% of Denise Mina's Conviction left to read and it's losing me fast. I hate to give up this much in but I've only got so much time left and there is so much good to read.

I do love Dreamwidth's post writing page - the ability to flip between Rich Text and HTML so easily and cleanly is very nice. LJ let you do it a little but but never without penalty.

They say it is good for the brain to get used to different stuff. Sigh. My brain doesn't like and I have had this account at DW for ages...

I just finished reading Janet Evanovich's The Bounty - part of the Fox and O'Hare series, far and away my fave of the various series she writes. Recommended, esp. if you like to watch White Collar [of which it is highly reminiscent]...

Good luck with the importer -- it may have been broken by the same blacklisting (LJ blocking DW's IP address) that broke cross-posting. LJ backup programs exist, that you could run on your personal machine. I don't know whether any of them can be used as an importer but it might be worth looking.

I've just tried the importer, after telling myself I wouldn't. I'm guessing they are overloaded, as presumably is LiveJournal. Is it just a case of persistence?
