I remembered to call the gym this morning before I even got my suit on to see if the pool was open. It was and it was sooooo clear and wonderful. Plus I ran into Bag Man. Bag Man was this great guy from the Before Times. The pool area is visible from the rest of the gym through giant windows. I always hang my bag on the wall that can clearly be seen by all. Plus, my bag is a bit distinctive.

Bag Man used to look for my bag every day while he worked out and then he'd come find me to say hi after. Today he was clearly delighted to see me (as I was him) and my bag! It's great fun to find these old friends again. I know Matt (my swim buddy) is alive and not coming back. So really that leaves on three guys who were also regulars that I haven't seen yet. The Hunk, The Army Guy and The Amazon guy. These last three were all swimmers. I do hope they come back.

There was some kerfuffle on the way home. We sat on the bus, stopped, for a good 20 minutes. No clue what was going on. I couldn't find anything on the twitter traffic feeds. It is way better, however, to be stuck in traffic on the bus than behind the wheel of a car.

In the Before Times it was always a rush. I got there at 5 so I could swim and shower and get back across the bridge before 6:30 otherwise, I'd sit on the bridge in morning traffic for ages just sucking in car fumes.

Now that bridge is closed and the backup bridge is only open to emergency traffic and buses. Plus there is a lot less morning commute traffic. stops like this morning I think are pretty rare. But even if they are not, the whole swim experience now is way less rushed. I can take my time getting there, swim as long as I want, dress leisurely and take my time getting to the bus - cause they run every 10 or 15 mins. It makes the fun experience of swimming even more fun.

The Mariners will not be playing until mid-April. They are bragging about automatic refunds on tickets for games they canceled and it's pissing me off. The 'automatic refunds', as it turns out, are simply credit on your account that must be used to buy something else from this in 2022. NO FUCKING WAY. There is small print that says if you do not anticipate using your refund this way... In my case, it's contact my account manager for an alternative or a refund. Done.

If you let me apply it to next year's ticket, that's one thing but to shorten my season and, thereby, my opportunities to spend the money as I like, then, no. Just no. Give me that money back, you idiots. I am not happy about baseball at all.

I may pop over to the Goodwill Store this morning. I have a short list of things to look for. I also need eggs and sausage so maybe a quick grocery stop.

I watched The Good Doctor, B Positive, Bob Hearts Obishola and Traces (Britbox)

I started reading The Escape Artist by Brad Metzler

Odd how our lives have become “Are they still alive?” as opposed to “Did they move away?”

Your bag ROCKS, incidentally.

Is the material such that you can repair fraying or holes?

That is quite a beautiful bag you have. Things are suddenly opening up here again since march 1 so its been interesting going into places I haven't been since the pandemic began.
