susandennisSo weekdays are different. The bus that runs every 10 to 15 mins 24 hours a day, takes a break from about 2-6am when it runs every hour-ish. That's as best I can guess. Turns out that they opened my new stop early (I expect to help out the soccer fans who will be coming to games starting next week). The new bus schedules don't come out until mid-March. So, there's no schedule yet for my stop.
That texting scheme, however, is a gem. I woke up at 4:30. This is exactly when I used to wake up in the before times. I could easily get dressed and get to the pool to be waiting when the doors opened at 5. But this morning there was no hustle. I texted and saw that the first bus was not til 5:53. So I got up and fed Biggie and gave him his pill and checked email and stuff like that.
I left the house a little before 5:45. I was at the stop waiting when the bus went right past me. Happily there was a red light so he stopped and I ran and waved wildly and he let me on. The next one was in 8 minutes so it would not have been a tragedy but it was dark and cold.
There was one guy in the pool. He finished up about 15 minutes later and I had the pool to myself for the rest of my swim. I took my time after. I got dressed slowly and checked email on my phone and just took my time. The bus pulled up when I got to the stop.
The walk home was WAY better than yesterday. I walked slower and I think the slow pace after my swim helped. I settled into my chair with my breakfast burrito and coffee at 8:15. My swim done and the whole day ahead. This is going to work just fine, I think.
Biggie's still trying to work out the bits but he'll get it. His new Stella and Chewy flavor just arrived - USPS before 9 am on Monday? Wow.
I really do need to do laundry. I have a huge dirty clothes hamper and it is way full. Clearly I have too many clothes.
I watched more Goliath yesterday and started reading Conviction by Denise Mina
