susandennisThat's what the gorilla sized day manager at the gym told me this morning. The water clarity has been disappearing. When I asked about it on Thursday, the guy told me the pool guy had COVID but they were bringing in a backup guy. Well, apparently that backup guy hasn't been there yet. It was well on it's way to pea soup this morning. Ugh. But, gorilla guy told me that the pool guy will be there today. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.
Mr. Sunday was there and we had a nice chat waiting for the doors to open. Also there was White Wings. White Wings is a guy whose been going to this gym about as long as I have. He's a young guy who's really really nice. He has a round Asian face - like Samoan and a Samoan build. Over the past two years, he's gotten white hair - a little. Two white tufts on either side of his forehead. White Wings. They are really an asset to his face. He's cute enough but now he's handsome cute. That Monday in March of 2020, was his first day of working from home. It was the last day the gym was open. Today he said he's still working from home with no return in sight. I don't know what he does.
After my swim, I went over to Whole Foods across the street to get an avocado and some orange juice. The fresh squeezed stuff. They did not have any but I did learn that they squeeze it there. And when they don't have any, which is fairly often, it's because their machine is broken. It's the McDonald's soft ice cream machine all over.
The bus driver missed my stop coming home. When I got his attention he did pull over. But I had a whole nother block to my trudge home. It was fine. Fitbit was happy.
And now with the swim and the extra steps, I am perfectly happy not moving from this chair for the rest of the day.
Biggie has been very bitey this week. He comes over and hangs around my chair and then bites me. No hissing, not ears back. He bites like other cats lay a paw on your arm. Just to say high. So weird. All of the bites yesterday were on clothing and not really hard at all. But it makes me so uneasy. I generally just get up and go somewhere else.
Today, he's come over several times and gotten head rubs and we've chatted and there's been zero biting. So weird. Just now he's on his heated perch just watching everything.
Now I think I'm going to break into that avocado and have an early lunch.
Watched: So glad to have Law & Order back. And delighted to see Camryn Manheim. Also I watched a 3 part series on Acorn called Conviction. I will finish it up today. It's good.
But, in a wild coincidence, the book I'm reading is also called Conviction. Zero overlap. The book is by Denise Mina.
