Here I R in the dark.

The power went out at 4. At 4:02 the power company updated its outages page. It says it was a planned outage and ETA for restoration is 5 am tomorrow. WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK???

The building manager, who has a hard time keeping his shit together on a good day, is losing his damn mind. Plus the board, also problematic, has yet to find a backup to the key fob system so after 10 tonight, if no power, no getting in the building. At All. And the garage doors, of course, are a problem.

I am very grateful that it waited until I was back up here after my dumpster run, to poop out. Whew.

Also I have fairly decent internet thanks to my phone. And backup batteries. And charged up chromebooks. I mean it could be worse.

Things you don't think about... my recliner is semi reclined and will be until we get power back. It's fairly easy to get into this way but a bitch and a half to get out of.

I have a fancy schamacy bidet toilet seat that is heated. My ass got a major shock just now when I went to pee. That damn seat is colder than cold. And it's dark in there (the fancy seat has a night light).

Now it is dark everywhere. Gunna be an interesting evening. The power website show they last updated the information at 4:02. Way to keep us in the loop, you assholes.

Wow that is quite the long planned outage. Longest ones we had here were much of the day but was to replace an old transformer and took a lot of work so was understandable. We use key fobs here too and always wondered what that system isn't on a UPS or generator. Kind of important. Especially since there is no key backup, only way is the key fob. Hope it will come back on earlier than expected for you.

crap deleo crap - it would be the one that requires monkey climbing to fix. but, thanks for the heads up. i read your reply on the bus home. when i left the wyze cams were still doa so i was glad to hear they fixed themselves.

There are so many things that need power and you don't realize until it goes out. We have the electric recliners here too and they get stuck in various positions when the power goes out.

I couldn't imagine not having doors which open with normal keys. That is very strange. I never wanted an electric recliner precisely in case the power went out, though that hasn't really happened here for more than a few hours.
