Yesterday, I sent an email to my vet's office. I told them that the vet had told me to contact them if/when I wanted a cat behaviorist to come to my home and they would help me get that set up.

Today I got a response back that said "attached is reference material". Nothing was attached. and "here are some behaviorists" and there were four links.

The second link led to a service that works north of here. Does not serve this county at all. The second link went to a website with a giant banner that said We Are Currently On Maternity Leave. The third link was that asshole I paid $400 to last year and got squat for my money.

Not a good thing. I do know of a vet's office near here who offers in home behavior help. So I went to their website, read the details about in home visits and sent them an email. I got an answer back really quickly. "We aren't doing in home visits now. Call us for an appointment." Yeah... that's a no.

So I went to link number one and sent them an email. I haven't heard back yet. I have one other option that I'll fire off if that doesn't work and then I'm done. I'll just get out the salt and pepper and let Biggie eat me for dinner.

I did make biscuits. I made them a smidge too small or smaller than I wanted but I added cheese and they are freakin delicious. I had two with tomato soup for lunch. I'd forgotten what a mess making biscuits makes. And I made a bigger mess than usual. But, it's all cleaned up now.

Yesterday, the card reader at Fred Meyer would not read my credit card. I had had trouble with it at another reader not long ago. Honestly everyone needs tap to pay - why are we still shoving cards into things???? But, anyway. Back in my car, I fired up the bank's app and hit 'send me a replacement cause my card is damaged'. Less than 24 hours later - 30 minutes less but still - FedEx delivered that replacement. Same number, same code easy peasy ready for action. Nice. Impressive.

Now I think I'll pick up my hook and do some crocheting while I watch TV.

My debit/credit card's tap function hasn't worked for about 2 years now, but I can't be arsed to go into my bank branch to get a new one. Jon's debit/credit card was compromised back in Oct 2020, and cancelled by the bank, and he still hasn't gone to get a replacement card (because we can only get them by going to the branch where we opened our account, not just wander in to any branch to get one).

Canadian banks are weird. I used to work with them back when I worked for IBM and IBM sold ATM's. About a hundred years ago now :)

I really wish Biggie would calm down. I had a cat once that I rescued from a tree as a kitten, and she was a big biter. Her eyes would totally dilate until she looked like a demon possessed maniac and then she'd attack me. Obviously I would try to avoid/de-escalate/whatever. Sometimes I was successful and sometimes not, but the eyes were the creepiest thing no matter which way it ended.

They had it to you the next day? Normally my credit company throws it in the mail, and it takes a week to get to me.

What are you working on as a crochet project? I’ve got a knitting project verrrry slowly going - a shawl that will be too hot to wear by the time I finish.

I always have at least one or two knitting and one or two crochet projects going.
