Better and better

Back to the pool today. Can't beat that. It's the last day of masks in the gym. I haven't paid a bunch of attention but most people in the gym have been wearing masks. This morning, I looked carefully and saw that they all were. Tomorrow will be interesting.

I think I've won the war on the metformin side effects front. Whew. My throat is also a little better and now I'm sure it's allergies. Annoying but likely not fatal.

I got a lovely long, thoughtful email from the cat behaviorist. I'm so very encouraged. We're looking at the first week in April to start with the first visit.

I have somehow lost the earbuds that my swim music player uses. I have to recharge the device after every use and so take out the earbuds and plug in the charger. Somehow Wednesday, they two did not meet up again after. And now they are in the wind. I have backups but my real concern is Biggie. All cats love earbuds. Biggie is no exception. Except. He's likely to bite off and swallow. Even so, he can't eat the whole thing so where is the rest. A grid search of the house is now scheduled for first thing this morning.

Also on today's agenda is some finance work. I keep everything in a giant spreadsheet fueled by Tiller. Today I need to go in and catch up on some annotations and also make some tweaks. I've lost a bundle in investments lately and I need to make sure everything in my finances can cope. I'm sure it can, I just need to see the nums.

Other than that, no real plans to speak of today... just the regular.

Why does your cat need a behaviourist?

Because he routinely bites me - not play bites but rip my skin off bites - and I'm running out of skin to donate to his cause plus OUCH!!

I am now disappointed that none of my cats has ever shown any interest in earbuds. Are they even cats?!

British cats may be too good for earbuds. Maybe.

Fingers crossed that this behaviorist is the one who solves the mystery of Biggie's bitey moods. Please, please, don't let him have consumed the earbuds. He doesn't need another scar.

Yeah, tell me about the great tanking retirement fund account. I am planning on replacement windows soon and now I'm pondering how the hell I'm going to pay for them.

I'm glad you have mitigated Metformin's side effects. What did you do differently?

high protein meal with pill taken in the middle of the meal.

I'm glad things are looking up with the cat behaviorist! Bitey cats are no fun. One of mine likes to draw blood whenever possible. Hopefully he didn't bite the earbuds too!

Up here, mask mandates are due to be relaxed soon -- at least, provincial ones are. From what I understand, municipal mandates are not forbidden, nor are individual business rules, so we are likely to see a bewildering patchwork. As for me, I intend to keep wearing one until it is explicitly forbidden to do so.
