I went to sleep at 9 last night and didn't wake up until 7:15. I'm pretty sure I haven't gone that long without peeing since I was in my 60's! I woke up feeling great. My neck/throat still hurts a little but not nearly as much.

I got to the pool and didn't even have to wait too long before it opened. Mr. Sunday was there and we had a nice chat. My swim was great.

My brother wrote this morning about good customer service and I hit on some my ownself today. I am one of the rare birds who has a choice in cable TV and internet providers. I've been with my current company now for about a decade. I could save a bundle if I swapped every year. I could get one of those new customer deals, use it for a year and switch to another company for their new customer deals. But I don't because.

Last week, I was having internet issues. Intermittent. And really hard to tell if it was the router/internet provider/modem or my devices. My cable company has a very active twitter account. So I DM'd them on twitter and asked that they reboot me. I got a response in 5 mins that the deed had been done. And actually, I think that may have fixed the problem. So simple and nice.

On the TV side, in 2018, I sent an email to customer service asking for a review of my account and also a reduction back down to very basic cable. I got a great note back from Katie who gave me a great price and fixed the account. The next Spring, I needed the package expanded to include the channel that carries the Mariner games. A note to Katie, and it was done. Since then every spring and fall, Katie and I swap notes and she increases or reduced my cable package as requested. I never have to call on the phone.

Yesterday I sent her the Spring email and this morning, I got a nice note back and it's done.

In order to get the Mariners, I have to get and pay for about 100 other channels. One of them is HGTV. Last year I recorded a shitload of House Hunters and, totally coincidentally, I watched the last one yesterday. Time to build up the supply again!

Also I get the channel that has Resident Alien and I'm very much looking forward to watching both seasons of that. I've only seen the first episode but that sold me.

And speaking of interesting TV, I stumbled on a funky show yesterday on HBO - Sort Of. It's got very interesting characters and a cool story line. I've got three more episodes to go but I see they did a second season. It's Canadian.

I need a hair cut today. I have some locks that are getting in the way of my goggles. And I need to take the garbage and recycling down to the dumpsters.

And OHHH it looks like the new Mexican restaurant down the street may finally be open. I think it's worth a look see anyway. If not, I'll double back and get a sandwich at the bagel place for lunch.

The Jays just signed Yusei Kikuchi, who I understand was a Mariner? Is he any good? Does this make up for you guys signing Robbie Ray?

That is very cool you can adjust your cable like that. We just have antenna as we 'cut the cord' a few years ago.

We have a few options but will stick with the one we have.

Idaho does not have a baseball team so I decided I would follow the Mariners, but also the San Diego Padres, I think they are different leagues, so I should be okay ;-)

But I don't have a channel to watch either on tv.

I love watching House Hunters International. I lived in Germany years ago. It so interesting to see how different homes are in other countries.

Resident Alien is one of my favorite shows. Alan Tudyk is from Tx. I've met him several times. He is an amazing actor. I have followed him since he was in Firefly.

Overseas the rooms are so much smaller than here. Our first apartment in Germany didn't have light fixtures, cabinets or even a sink in the kitchen. You had to provide them yourself. No closets because they were considered a room and rooms were taxed. You had to buy wardrobes for clothes. Really opened my eyes to how differently people live in other countries.

Your cable company sounds amazing. Ours is horrible. Thank goodness I don't have to deal with them!
