You know how you can never get your car to make that noise when you get it to the mechanic? Biggie and I are communicating way better since I found someone to come fix us. So weird. But, actually, she is already working on the case. I sent her a video yesterday when he sat in my lap and let me pet him. She sends me great notes with ideas and suggestions and so far, she's been spot on.

We have a date set for a home visit on April 6.

Swimming this morning was good. I finally reconnected with Mr. Amazon. He works out most mornings in the gym part and swims a couple of times a week. It's the first time I've seen him in two years. He said he saw me the other day but didn't catch my eye before I was out. His wife used to come in, too. She taught primary school and was always full of great kid stories. And she always thought the pool water was too cold. It is cool to reconnect with peops even after so long.

Our mask requirement was lifted Friday night. Even today, however, I'm seeing a whole lot of mask wearers even outside. Makes me feel naked when I'm not wearing mine. I have it around my neck most of the time anyway because I need it for the bus, but still when someone else is wearing one and I'm not I feel like I'm not doing my part.

Last night I finished an afghan. The yarn I use works best if it goes through the washer and dryer at least once so that's where it is now. Then photos.

I thought I had a hunk of ham in the freezer but now I can't find it. Did find some fried chicken, though, which will be good for my protein dinner. Guess it's time for a Costco trip to re-up the ham situation. I actually might pop over there this morning. Because well why not?

I just discovered that I can now - easily - scan in documents (or photos or whatever) into PDF's with my chromebook camera! There's a new scan button on the camera screen that works like a charm. VERY cool.

Also, I miss the Back To Top arrow on my LJ friends page so I went looking for a chrome extension to replicate. I tried a couple. They sucked so I googled and discovered there are Pg Up and Pg Dn buttons on my own damn keyboard! They are way over on the right at the top over the num pad that I never use. BUT, also the search key + > and < do the same thing. DOH. Ten years on a chromebook and I'm still learning new shit.

Ok so if I'm going to do Costco, I guess I'll go do it!

I love both ham and fried chicken. My stomach literally growled as I wrote that! hahaha Costco has wonderful products, and I am always interested in trying new ones. I hate pdfs, but I do scan things into txt or rtf.

Good luck in the wilds of Costco. That place can be downright scary! haha

Our mask mandates were lifted too but I still plan on wearing mine when I'm out amongst people.

Is there a Home and End button as well? Home will take you to the top of a web page, and End to the bottom (at least that's how it works on a Windows PC).

Also, I noticed recently that you can customize shortcuts here: https://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/settings/?cat=shortcuts

One thing that I've been trying to get used to is that I can't click on cuts and have them open on my reading page. It takes me to the post... remember when LJ changed that? I'm getting better at remembering to open cuts in a new tab instead.

Ooh! I didn't know that. I'm going to have to remember to do that next time.

I get you completely on needing keyboard shortcuts for scrolling. Being on a Mac laptop, I had to install a little cheat program that lets you re-map keys, to turn the "option" button on the right side of the keyboard into a "function" button, which then allows you to use the little arrow keys on the bottom right as "home", "end", "page up" and "page down". The older models (like, 10+ years old at this point) had a function key there, so it was really easy to scroll through with one hand, and every time Apple does something that breaks my little workaround it throws me completely off.
