OY! My neck

My neck is killing me. I am fairly sure it's pissed off because of computing time in this chair, phone time and, possibly, my pillow. I got up in the middle of the night and got a different pillow. I stared out of the window on the bus this morning, instead of at my phone. And I am adjusting how I compute (swinging it a little to the left instead of the right and careful not to lift my elbows to the armrests). But really, it hurts from my ear down my neck across my shoulder to the top of my arm. OUCH. I just ordered a neck/shoulder heating pad that will be here before 6. I love you, Amazon.

Also I bruised the bottom of my head with that massager yesterday. I am a mess.

I'm thinking of a little trip to Goodwill. Stretch my legs and look for a couple of things on my list.

Biggie bit me three times last night - not hard but still - not fun. We had words. He's been on good behavior ever since. I was able to send the videos to Leah (the behaviorist). She's getting good data.

Oh! I just got a text from the clinic where my doctors practice. You can not text into a virtual waiting room and then into a chat for advice on stuff. They recently set up a phone line for this kind of thing and I'd saved that email but this texting is way better. Nicely done, Polyclinic.

spacefem had some excellent thoughts in her entry this morning about moving from LJ to Dreamwidth. And I echo. I, too, am very grateful to Dreamwidth for providing this robust home to move into. I am grateful for all my LJ friends who moved as well.I miss the ones who did not. But, I'm delighted at the new ones I've found. LiveJournal was a wonderful home for me for 20 years. It would have been impossible to go cold turkey and hard to go alone. I'm so glad I did not have to.

I've got a couple who have a major beef with Dreamwidth (from years ago) and will never but I suspect the others (just a few) will eventually.

I can empathize regarding the neck pain. 40 plus years of looking down, cross stitching, crocheting, diamond painting etc has ruined my neck. Add to that the recent situation with looking down at tablet, phone etc and I now have problems with my cervical vertebra. All from bending my neck and holding that position for hours on end for years. Now going to a chiropractor, massage therapist on a regular schedule and PT on occasion. Not to mention a slightly pinched ulnar nerve that makes it feel like my neck and shoulder is “buzzing” at times. Slowly getting better, but wish I had been more aware of posture many years back.

I've been having neck problems, I'm not sure what happened but I suspect it has something to do with the just open a crack window in my itty bitty bedroom. I was getting into my robe after my shower and I noticed a bruise on my shoulder. I turned to get a better angle and saw my back was bruised where I had used the massager day before yesterday. I guess I had it turned up a little too high...

Oh, yikes, I'm not surprised that LJ is being used for propaganda. I am also grateful for Dreamwidth and now I'm feeling less bad that I deleted my LJ, even though it was also my home for close to 20 years.
