Wet

It's a rainy Monday. Hard to whine about getting wet, though, when you are going to or coming from an hour basically submerged in water. The pool was busy! But, interestingly, all were regulars. People I've now seen repeatedly.Makes it more fun for me. The bus coming home was empty and the trip was quick because traffic was light. Even in Seattle, I guess, Monday + rain = WFH.

Not a whole lot on tap for today. I do have some errands to run which will double as a car wash in the rain. I like it.

I hesitate to say anything for fear of jinxing but Biggie seems to have turned a biting corner. He spent most of the weekend snuggled in my lap. Or playing with me - feather on a stick. Maybe a Stickie for adolescents? No biting at all. None.

We have some new rules and I think he's getting the picture. He used to walk back and forth across my chair from one arm to the other and then, stop and bite me. He never just sat on my lap. Now the rule is he gets a back and forth and back - 2 trips and he either settles into my lap or he gets shown the floor. So basically he's being snuggled or he's on the floor. No time/need for biting. It's amazing how quickly he's figured this out.

And he seems to be fine with it. And he is now a lap cat. In a weekend. Wild. But, fine by me. He's always been an amazing cat but he's even more amazing now that he's turned from a fighter to a lover.

He hasn't given up his bird watching. He's doing that right now allowing me to write this. I just think we have finally, now, after three years, come to an understanding. And I give total credit to Leah, the behaviorist.

My lumbar support pillows seemed to have really helped my neck and shoulders although they are still giving me grief. Maybe a week of not swimming and doing stuff with my brother will just heal it all up for good.

I bought a bamboo toilet paper subscription. 3 ply. It's a funky company located here in Seattle (less than a half mile from right here). Oddly enough, it is also shipped from Seattle. I ordered it Saturday and it will be here tomorrow. Stay tuned for the butt review!

Oh! I just got my MLB.TV free subscription. It's a perk of being a Mariner Season Ticket holder. I was worried because it usually comes before the first game but no worries it is here now. It lets me watch all the spring training games and gives me the audio for all Mariner games. (yes, i can get it on radio but not in my condo. no reception!)

Ok, errand time.

So is it a sort of territorial thing with Biggie being up on the chair, or something else?

I get most of my radio stations on line. Can you listen that way?

I adore cats, and I am glad that yours is finally learning how to behave. That seems like a wonderful way to train him. I am very interested in that toilet paper, so please let us know what you think of it when it arrives. I must say, though, I have never heard of a subscription for such things. Can it be bought on a trial basis, in a small amount?
