This time tomorrow

This time tomorrow I will be trying not to leave for the airport too soon. I'm so looking forward to my brother's visit. Usually I have a long list of chores for him. Things that I cannot do and/or cannot do without help. He's always so willing. This time, the list is really short - more time to play and eat. Those are our best team skills anyway.

The pool was nearly empty. There's one woman who comes every weekday and finally she showed up but before she arrived I had the pool to myself. When to going home bus pulled up, I got on. A young guy seated just across from the door, popped up and said "Please have my seat." That had never happened to me before. I've arrived! Official Old Lady. And I was grateful.


The bamboo toilet paper from cloud arrived. And I have to say, I'm pretty pleased. I like the stuff! Heck if I ever run out of paper towels, I'm going to give those a try. I was nearly out of paper towels in March of 2020. I don't use that many but I ordered up a bunch. And then forgot I did so ordered up a bunch more. I really really don't use that many so now I pretty much have a lifetime supply.

Biggie's been having some amazing cat days. Since last week, he has snipped at me maybe 3 times. And I could tell each time that he was going to and they were all pretty justified on his part. At least understandable. We have a couple of vigorous Chase The Feather sessions a day and lots of lap time.


Today I have a few chores but nothing really big planned. There's a baseball game this afternoon.

Then one more sleep.

I am thrilled for you that you are going to see your brother and that you are looking forward to it so much. It makes me feel good.

And also glad to know Biggie has gone a long way toward mending his ways.

I'm glad he's getting the message.. I was a little concerned. The three cats I've owned learned quickly, typically in the air during their kitty flying lesson, that some things are not tolerated. Biggie has always been perfectly fine with me but I'm happy he's been getting some counselling.

I think you'll be fine. Plus he has a new toy that needs you on the other end. About 2 mins with that and he will love you.

I'm impressed that you and Biggie have come to an agreement about his behavior. I'm really curious what kind of advice the kitty therapist has given you that has worked so well.

it really hasn't been one or two magic bullets but more of 'ok when he does this, try that'. i sent her a bunch of videos of what he was doing and we've swapped about 50 emails with incremental things. it's been an interesting process for sure.

Zowie, you are getting your money's worth from her for sure! So glad detente has mostly been achieved.

Enjoy being with your brother. Was any of our tornado weather near him this week? There was some serious damage on Monday.

Does distraction help with Biggie? Seems the cat whisperer is helping.😸

oh yeah. he's in georgetown so 10 mins away from the action the other night. yikes.

Round Rock got hit pretty bad. Glad he's okay.

I had the pool to myself for over thirty minutes this morning. It was like Heaven!

It sounds like you'll be having a lot of fun soon. I'm glad the toilet paper is of a high quality. More importantly, I'm glad that Biggie is behaving himself more with each passing day. It must be wonderful to have a cat who plays and snuggles with you instead of biting you.
