susandennisI am 73 years old today. And it's good. Very good. All ages have their pros and cons and old age has the biggest list of each ever. I'm not one to like being old because it's better than the alternative. Not at all. But I do appreciate all of the benefits. I have a great life. And I know it and appreciate it every day. Especially today. Happy Birthday to me.
We had a lovely dinner at Ben Paris last night. Light-ish and tasty - at least mine was. I had the roasted octopus which I probably would have enjoyed a touch more if Bill had not reminded me about Harry's friend (Resident Alien). Kind of like eating bugs bunny. Oh well.
Both last night and the night before, we took Lyft to dinner and walked home. Bill's a big walker - he walks dogs. Me, not so much. I really enjoy stretching my legs after dinner but in both cases, about half way home I was questioning the wisdom. Tonight, we have reservations at a place about the same distance. I will, again, decide to walk home, and will again struggle. Bill will, with enormous patience, walk at asnail's old lady pace. Steps, baby, it's all about the steps.
We might go to the zoo today. But, first, we're going to swap out my Google mesh router for my old Eero one to see if this intermittent 'no internet' will fix. Then maybe the zoo. Or maybe... who knows?! I'm 73. Anything could happen!

One year we did the penguin experience at the aquarium for my birthday, and it's one of my favorite birthday memories. I don't remember how old I was at the time, but I remember how awesome it was to hang out with penguins!
