I rolled over wrong a couple of times and was reminded that someone dug out a piece of my back yesterday. But mostly I slept ok. This morning, I'm moving carefully but I think moving is the right move.

I'm kind of being a baby about this but why not. I have to change the bandage tomorrow and I'm pre-worrying about that. And probably it does not hurt as much as I think it does. If I'm stock still, I can barely feel it. Mostly I feel the pull from the bandage, actually. But, if I move. OUCH. Oh well.

The battery for my mobility scooter might be here today. It's in Seattle at FedEx and the tracking number says delivery today but they are hinky about deliveries sometimes. So until I see "out for delivery", I won't know for sure. But, at least I'm petty sure it will be here in time for Friday night's game.

I've placed my daily call back request with the doctor's billing office. And I got through to a person!! Note to me. 8:15 on Wednesday works for a calling time. The guy I talked to did not seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer but finally he found the data that clearly points to my being owed $117. "I'll send this to review." 7 days. They will contact me. Right. I will contact them. It's on the calendar.

And I got confirmation that my microwave will be here tomorrow between 10:30 and noon. Yeah! I do need to empty the cabinets over the stove as they will need to get in there for installation. Tomorrow's plenty of time for that.

I think today, I'll take my back out for a walk. Maybe a trip to Goodwill - I have some donations and really nothing on my list so I can just walk around and see what's new. Then I can pop into Uwajimaya (Japanese grocery) to pick up some lunch and look for poached eggs. [personal profile] taz_39 talked about buying poached eggs in the shell ready for warming and eating plus some other Asian stuff I've never heard of so I have a list.

Last night I started reading/listening to Happy At Any Cost by Kristen Grind and Katherine Sayer. It's about Tony Hsieh, the long time CEO of Zappos. The guy reading the book needs reading lessons. And already I can tell that this book is an article padded to pieces so that it is long enough to sell as a book. I'll probably give it another 45-ish minutes and then go back to The Cyclist by Tim Sullivan - much better reader and writer.

I finished watching Anatomy of a Scandal on Netflix. I didn't not enjoy it but I kind of feel that way about all things David E. Kelly. But there were issues with the writing and the plot. However, I'm pretty suckered into anything with Michelle Dockery in it and she is excellent in this.

I've seen people talking about watching Anatomy of a Scandal and I realised that I'd read the book a few years ago, so I went back and read it again this week. I think it would make an excellent series.

It might make an excellent series, but the David E. Kelley version is not it.

The Guardian had this piece about Anatomy of a Scandal: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2022/apr/20/anatomy-of-a-scandal-netflix-tv-moment

It made me laugh (the article, not the series).

I watched Anatomy of a Scandal because of Michelle Dockery too. I found the plot more than a little implausible, but still enjoyed it.
