So the batteries arrived. Bless FedEx guy's heart, he brought them right to my door. The package weighed biscillion pounds. The scooter takes 2 of these at a time. I ordered a pack of 2. They sent 3. ???? But they looked right.

I took the seat off the scooter and wrestled the battery pack out. Twelve tiny screws secure the enclosure. I managed to get all of them out. (Thankfully, Biggie was napping and didn't help.) I wrestled the old pair out and a new pair in and dud. Ooops a connection came loose. Fixed it and connect it to the scooter again and the needle hopped to full!! I screwed two of the screws back in and re checked (no dummy here). Still working. So I finished the job.

I rode it around a bit and all seemed fine. So I plugged it into the charger. As soon as it's charged, I'm going to take it out. As it happens, there is a building down the street that is having a week long recycling event and they take batteries!! Have I got a deal for them.

I called the vendor to tell them about the third one and they said to keep it. So I listed it for free on the buy/sell Seattle subreddit. I hope someone wants it. But, if not, Goodwill will.

They whole operation involved my getting onto the floor, lifting, stretching, getting up, more stretching, etc.

And, I realized when I was done that the whole operation had happened with very minimal discomfort. I think I'm well on the way to whole. Certainly well enough to swim tomorrow.

I did do Goodwill and Uwajimya. No joy on the poached eggs but I did get a fruit sando - I got banana cream pie! It's banana and cream and whipped cream between two slices of Japanese white bread. I'm saving it for later.

Oh, just got a take on my battery. Dude says he'll pick it up tomorrow.

Ok, all charged. Taking her out for a spin.

all is right in your world, but isn't Biggie disappointed he didn't help?

Wow, I have trouble getting FedEx to take batteries at all, much less door to door. Great they did that for you!

I'm glad everything came and works! But why wouldn't you keep the extra battery or sell it?
