susandennisI noticed yesterday that Costco had their portable air conditioners stacked up in a prominent spot already. This morning, Twitter tells me that this is the coldest April we've had in 11 years. That could be why it felt so weird to see the display. Because of the cold weather, it will be a while yet, hopefully, until I get mine out of storage and set it up. I always worry that it won't wake up after sleeping all winter.
So I shop to see what my options would be if it was dead. This year, I seem to have more and better options than ever before so... whew! Also Murphy's law says that with all those options comes a better than even chance that mine will work fine for another Summer.
Yesterday's Costco trip was a good one. I got two items. I have found that more trips to Costco means I get fewer things total plus, all those steps. I park far from the front door and walk all the way to the back - plus some back and forth. it's a good deal all around. Yesterday I got steak and rice.
Today, I'm probably not going anywhere. I don't need anything and I have a Dinnerly order coming in. It's the first time I've ordered from them in more than a year. They have a totally new (to me) delivery service which should be interesting.
I do have last night's Jeopardy to watch/walk. I've left the treadmill up instead of putting it away. I'm just not wild about swimming with these stitches. The doctor says it's fine and I should be fine with it but for some reason, I'm not. And my rule is if no swimming (for more than a one day off) then treadmill. As long as I have a Jeopardy episode, I'm ok with that.
Tomorrow no swimming because the leak fix it people will be here to fix and test at 8:30 supposedly. Maybe I'll swim Thursday and Friday and bank the Jeopardys for the weekend.
The retiree life is just crammed with momentous decisions and fascinating plans.
But, it's a great life for me!!
Meanwhile Biggie thinks that it's time to put more treats into his puzzle. I've already filled it twice, today. And it's only 8 am!
